Fast Repairs In Richmond Hill

If you have a minor issue like a busted ring, toggle or pin, I can usually repair it within minutes and, at very low costs. Below are approx. fees for repairing or replacing common plated items:

  •  Jump rings $5
  •  Clasp $10 (each)
  •  Pins $5 (each)

Restringing or Remodelling Your Jewelry

I can re-string costume jewelry with materials that you will agree to or with like materials already present in the design.

All restrung pieces are guaranteed for life to withstand normal wear and tear. So, for example, if you accidentally catch your restrung necklace or bracelet on something sharp, that would not be covered.

Restringing (not including knotting) starts at $45 for a 16 inch strand plus cost of supplies including missing beads, rings, clasp, etc.

All costs are based on repairs that can be performed relatively quickly. For fine jewelry with gemstones, or metal jewelry requiring solder, please visitor your nearest jeweler.

Contact me to arrange delivery and pick-up of your piece for restring or redesign.

KNOTTING OR REKNOTTING
(Pearls, Semi-Precious Stones or Other Beads)

Two good reasons for knotting fine stones and pearls include:

  1. Prevents loss of pearls if the piece brakes
  2. Prevents the beads (especially pearls) from rubbing against each other creating surface scratches
Knotting starts at $65 for a 16" strand with pearls 8mm in diameter or larger with normal sized holes. If your pearls are smaller or you have a longer strand, please request a quote.

I use high quality silk (normally in white unless you want dark knots) for beads with normal to small holes. For beads with larger holes I will work with you to find your preferred stringing material.

I also teach pearl knotting workshops and private lessons. Please send your inquiry for cost and availability.
