Description
The center stone is an oval cabochon measuring 30mm x 40mm and is known as ‘Mountain Jade’ -> that has been died, stabilized and polished and coordinates beautifully with the Lapis Lazuli stones. The pendant has no real visible inclusions except darker blue and some lighter crystalized formations.
The smaller round beads are Lapis Lazuli a semi-precious stone that is an optional birthstone for September. Mother of pearl round beads, deep navy blue agate rondelles, black Swarovski bicones plus white and silver Miyuki of Japan seed beads are in used to complete the design. The pendant hangs on a 2mm diameter Greek leather cord in black with a sterling silver lobster clasp closure.
The marble holds the heat of your skin or hands and feels beautiful to the touch. Even though the pendant is woven into a seed bead bezel, marble has a 3.5 to 4 hardness rating on the Mohs scale, and should be handled relatively carefully so as not to chip or break the stone.
